Common Ground was set up in 2007 by Pat Whymark, Lynn Whitehead and Julian Harries, two professional actors who live in Woodbridge, Suffolk. They wanted to give young, local actors the chance to put on original shows, work with professional actors and experience touring theatre. Their first show, Gallows Song, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, did just that, playing in Ipswich, Woodbridge, Halesworth and London, with professional actors, musicians and production team.
